The classroom is set up in stations for the children to learn at - reading, STEM (science, tech, engineering, maths), the arts, and writing. We will spend time at each station during the day and children will have the opportunity to explore the stations in their own time.

For those of you who haven’t met me yet, I’m Miriam McKenzie (Ms McKenzie). 

I love gardening and am in charge of the garden, which means so is Room 2! We do our jobs of tidying and packing up every day with each child having a particular responsibility that they are in charge of for the week.

I have been in education and training for over 30 years now and I love setting up a classroom that suits the children’s learning styles. This year the children will be taking responsibility for their own learning, with a focus on exploring and creating, to complement writing, reading and mathematical concepts. It’s very exciting!
