About us

Wallacetown School is a small school local to the community of Wallacetown. We have 4 current classrooms, 3 full time classrooms ranging from Years 0 - 6 and one operating every Thursday as the Ko Taku Reo Deaf Hub.

A range of activities are on offer at Wallacetown School including the following below:

Kapa Haka

Whole School fortnightly practices, performing for Polyfest and for local groups.

Kiwi Can

Weekly classroom sessions every Monday with the Kiwi Can team. Looking at values and positive relationships.

Garden Rippers

Weekly Garden club that takes place looking after the Community vegetable garden we have set up and available at school.

Swimming

Community Swimming Pool available for use. Keys are able to be purchased from the office. Classes swim throughout the week making use of this awesome facility.

Golden Time

A fortnightly activity available for all students covering a range of skills from baking, crafts to sports.

Miniball

School teams competing in the Tuesday night competition Terms 3/4

GATE with REAP

Gifted and Talented education programs available throughout the year for a range of areas including art, science, leadership, maths.

Futsal

School teams competing in the Monday night competition in Term 2


Before and After School Care

An option available for families to use on school site.

Camps


Sport Skill Sessions

Sport sessions on offer with different Southland Sport organisations.

Last year we had: Cricket, Rugby, Touch and Futsal.

Community Centre

Wallacetown School have access to the Community Centre for a range of activities. We have had shows, fundraisers, sports practises and prize giving held here.
